I've read in a travel book that this city is the Venice of the North. It is really beautiful, the canals are lovely especially with all those houses and nice garden along it, plus the buildings are really wonderful. However it is bombarded with tourists this part of the year. We visited this city last April 2005 and it looked even more beautiful then.
