Hi Friends and Visitors. Welcome to our blog. We hope you will enjoy viewing the pictures and reading some bits and pieces about our lives here. Feel free to leave a comment or even share your blog as well. In case you are wondering, what's with the name? Gluehwurm is the german word for fireflies or alitaptap for tagalog and Toni is fond of this tiny creature.

Archeologist from Crete
Hey, don't I look like a bit of an archeologist myself? These jars are really huge and magnificent! Would have love to take one home. This picture is taken in Knossos, believed to be one of the oldest civilizations in Europe dating back to 2,000 years B.C., that means it is approximately 4,000 years old? Wow! Can you grasp that thought? As usual as in almost all archeological findings, the jars and ceramics have survived. Which leads me to the idea, I should do some course on pottery.
