Toni's trip

Good news, friends and family in the Philippines. I, (Toni) will be coming home for a 5 week vacation this coming July. Vlado on the other hand is not yet sure if he will come or not. We are still hopeful that he will get a job the next quarter. Unfortunately no developments on this area. Thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts and vibrations but guys you have to work harder on it - concentrate! (",) I will have my state exams on June so I would appreaciate you sending out prayers and positive thoughts on me too. They will be on the June 2, 3 and 6 and the oral exams will be on July 5. My flight is on July 9, yipee!
Aside from that there is really nothing new here under the blue skies of spring. We were contemplating on moving out to a new apartment or house and started daydreaming about having an extra room as office or guest room, a closed kitchen and a garden for our litte panther here. Then the daydreaming ended, we really don't know if our contract allows us to leave in the next few months and if we would ever move because what if Vlado finds a new job in another place? See, how crucial this new job thing is, not only for Vlado's spirits and sanity but for our future dwelling place as well.
So that's about it for now. Have a great week! Enjoy the sunshine and don't forget to keep in touch once in a while!

Visit to Scotland

Toni and Vlado in Scotland April 2005

Hi Friends! Here are some wonderful pictures from our last vacation in Scotland this April. We drove around the Highlands, ate lots of scottish breakfast, visited lots of castles and searched for the Loch Ness monster but sad to say we didn't find him but saw these majestic views instead. We really had a great time and were blessed with the dry and sunny weather, it got only colder at the end of our trip so lucky us. Scotland is such a lovely place, there's just too much beauty to see there. If there is anything as getting tired of beauty, this must be the place to experience it. Aside from the beautiful nature and outstanding castles, we also experienced the warm hospitality of the locals. Our favorite of them all is Mrs. Gallagher (unfortunately we don't have a picture of her) who owns a Bed & Breakfast in Perth. So guys, what are you waiting for? Include Scotland in your next trip!

Brussels&Bruges

The BBB (The Beautiful Brussels and Bruges)
Well friends, here are some new pictures from our last trip to the beautiful city of Brussels and Bruges. We made use of the long easter weekend. For those of you who don't know, Germany has a really good long weekend this time of the year, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday :) (Unfortunately for our friends in Brussels who have to work on Good Friday!!!) We stayed there for four days and were really spoiled and pampered by our dearest friends Lucy and Niels (pictures to be posted soon, subject for approval). We enjoyed the sights, the good weather, the warm hospitality and the sumptuous meals prepared by our host and hostess. Of course not to forget the really good tasting raspberry flavored beer and the Kwak (see picture below). You have to try it to know why it's called Kwak!

By the way, this sculpture of Madonna is an original work of Michaelangelo, it is in one of the Cathedrals in Bruges.
