Hi Friends and Visitors. Welcome to our blog. We hope you will enjoy viewing the pictures and reading some bits and pieces about our lives here. Feel free to leave a comment or even share your blog as well. In case you are wondering, what's with the name? Gluehwurm is the german word for fireflies or alitaptap for tagalog and Toni is fond of this tiny creature.

Yummy
Take a closer look at what this picture is all about! These are hundreds or thousands and thousands different kinds of sweet, candies, lollies, TurrĂ³n (traditional spanish sweet)etc. etc. Just looking at it make me drool like a dog but also get a toothache. This was a candy shop somewhere in Toledo, Madrid. It just dawned on me now that I should have gone inside and grabbed that special offer. Two Turrons for the price of one. I actually didn't buy Turron this time because they are so sweet. We have something similar back in the Philippines called Turones de Casoy. However, those are really small, rolled and instead of cashew, the spanish ones have almonds and they are round and flat, thick and big like a dish plate. Some are also the size of a big chocolate bar.

Take care.
