Dinner for 2

My good friend Donna and I had a fabulous dinner about two weeks ago here at home (as usual I'm a bit late with my post) . Donna my fellow Pinay (Filipina) here in Germany opted for - of course a Filipino meal -- something really simple, nothing fancy and nothing exotic but just down to earth fried fish and mixed vegetables "Chopsuey". The drizzling weather outside topped with the good Pinoy food and the good company gave us almost the feeling of being back home in the Philippines.
Actually this dinner has to be documented because I was teasing Donna the whole time while she was slicing the vegetables that she might ruin her manicured nails. Well you'll never know where those nails would end up :) Nails intact and good teamwork (Vel in case you're reading this post - be prepared Donna will cook for you guys when you come here in August - haha:)), we were able to fry this super fish - the biggest Tilapia we've ever seen in our lives. Here's the proof, beside that fish is a normal sized fork. See how gigantic he is? Is this normal or what? In the end it tasted really good despite the odd size.
I met Donna in the german language school about 5 years ago, her current teacher was my former teacher for almost nine months till we (class of 12 turned to 4 in the end) got the burnt out syndrome from all that german grammar. When I returned from my break, Viola the teacher (the best I've/we've actually had) was teaching Donna's class already. As a consolation to losing my best teacher, Viola told me about Donna, the rest is history.
