More Birthday Pictures

Happy Birthday to me :) These are my birthday cakes from the kids in our class - isn't it a lovely idea? I handled each child a cake and shared it with them. Then we turned off the lights and blew our candles. Isn't that nice to share your cake and the blowing of the candles too?
There was indeed a lot of surprise from the parents and the kids that day. Each child brought a flower/s and a card and gave it to me when they came. Some even brought gifts . We ate all day too. The korean moms brought special dimsums and the american moms made cakes and special ice cream. Of course I also bought some food too my colleagues and kids . It's not too bad to work on your birthday it seems :)

Here are some of the cards - I forgot to take a picture of the dozens and dozens of flowers I got, I really felt like a superstar, getting the whole bunch of flowers. I also got flowers and some presents from my colleagues. And from my co teacher I got a wonderful bag :) Well at least I got my bag - The V asked me what I want for my birthday and I told him I want a new bag - it turned out he didn't give me any bag but I got one from a friend and from my co teacher. So I saved him the hard work of looking for a present. The funny thing was my colleague bought this from her trip in Greece, but when she gave it to me she noticed it was written on the bag - Made in Italy.. she was a bit disappointed but I thought that was good - italian bags have a good image and seem to last a long time.
There you go - that's my happy birthday day. You wait for it the whole year and it's gone in just a few moments. So it's nice to blog about it so I can come back next time and remember what I did on that day.
