Lunar New Year

Our school had one of its special celebration and this time it's the Lunar New Year (also known for some as the Chinese New Year). Well look at me ;) I tried one of the mom's national costume. This is called Hanbok, made of silk and is Korean's national costume. It is so pretty, I feel like a porcelain doll and our kids took turns wearing them too.

It even comes with a special jacket, just in case it gets cold probably or it becomes more formal. The bead work is also very intricate but you just can't see it from this photo.

You don't look like a doll you look like a princess ! only the crown is missing ! What a wonderful idea to celebrate the chinese New Year !
I did it once by pure coincidence in London's China town. We wanted to eat chinese and ended up to celebrate New Year with the restaurant's owner !
