I was just on my way to my doctor's appointment when I saw that it was market day. I often miss market day because it's always during work day when I am at work. This is really unfair because they have such good produce like fresh fruits and vegetables.
Hmmm so many fresh fruits.. the air smelled so sweet from luscious peaches, cherries and assorted berries ...
Cherries, peaches, apricots anyone?
I find artichokes really interesting from the way they look but I haven't eaten them fresh just once in a while as a pizza topping or on such antipasti dish.
Have you seen a yellow zucchini?
And lots of herbs galore! Dill, paisley, spring onion, coriander, estragon and so much more....There are other things in the market like flowers, fish, sausages, cheese and so much more. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to see them all - maybe next Tuesday :)

kg - yup, they are really, summer is the best time to buy fruits and veggies
Ah the market ! I am going each sunday morning to the Brussels Midi market with 400 stands. It's the second biggest one in Europe ! There the prices are very cheap, but for the Waterloo market you have to be rich !
Gattina - i would love to see that market one day.. i'm sure there are so many things to discover :)
